For an afternoon's trip you can visit Praia Preá, which is only around 30 minutes away by car.

Leaving Ilha do Guajirú, turn right towards Acaraú, after around 30 minutes signs are marked with Praia Preá. Take the sandy road to the right hand side and this road will bring you to Praia Preá, the beach!

Preá offers a stunning beach, one of the most beautiful in North East Brazil according to the writers of many travel books, extremely white in sand piled up to 6-8 meter high.

Here you can sit, relax and watch the kiters and surfers or enjoy a swim, cold drink, lunch or dinner at one of the beachfront pousadas or restaurants.

Choose to visit between Vilas do Preá and Rancha do Peixe, which are both excellent!
