Acaraú is a traditional market town and close to Itarema, it’s a nice place to visit and to see normal Brazilian life.

Acaraú is only 15 minutes car drive away from Itarema or Ilha do Guajirú: when you leave the island, simply turn right, and the next town you will enter is Acaraú.

For a change of scene, some different restaurants, bars and nightclubs, Acaraú is the place to visit.

See the Capoeira dance at night in the town square, ask the locals what time and where, they will know!

Or just enjoy Brazil’s local life going on around you, there is always a bunch of activities everywhere.

Spend your afternoon to sightsee, enjoy a good meal at one of Acaraú’s local restaurants and land in your own bed afterwards on Ilha do Guajirú.
